Consistent use of Buffalo State’s official typefaces (fonts) is integral to the success of the visual identity program. Official typefaces should be used in all printed materials and on all web pages produced by departments at Buffalo State.
ITC Garamond Condensed is the official college typeface. It can be used in its bold or book weight for display headlines and in its light weight for running text. The official secondary typeface is ITC Stone Sans.
Neither ITC Garamond Condensed nor ITC Stone Sans is bundled with standard Microsoft Office systems. When producing print materials using software programs such as MS Word, substitute Garamond or Times New Roman for ITC Garamond, and substitute Arial or Helvetica for ITC Stone Sans. When working with commercial printing companies and design firms, request official typefaces.
